Some people think being positive minded is floaty and disconnected from reality. I disagree!
There are always at least two ways to look at things and I choose to focus on the positive.
Is this realistic? It depends who you ask.
I think it is realistic because I normally stay positive about 98% of the time. That means I look at good things with gratitude and find the lesson in not-so-good things in the hope of preventing them in my future.
Is it easy to stay so positive? It greatly depends on what you do all day and who you have chosen to have in your life.
The other 2% of the time, I get stuck in my ego and caught up in negative situations or conversations around me. I’ve made sure to surround myself with positive people, which makes being positive MUCH easier and more fun. In addition, they are the ones who “call me on my stuff” when I’m stuck in ego or negative junk so their benefits are two-fold.
It is true there are many things around us that can be seen as negative and cause great suffering.
